Thank you Virginia!

If anyone has any experience of taking the bold / crazy step (delete as appropriate) of setting up their own business as a “solopreneur”, then you might be familiar with what I’m about to describe.

Your website is your store front and of course you want to make it as attractive as possible (editors note: you’d better to revert to those pretty stock photos rather than using pictures of you, Martin) and get as many people through the door as possible.

I fret quite a lot about my website and obsess over Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – which it seems, on the whole, I’m not very good at.

But from my recent analysis, it seems that I’m getting a disproportionate amount of traffic, I mean HUGE, from the good people of Virginia, USA!

So to those people in Ashburn, Boydton, Tappahannock (what a great name!) and environs, I salute you and thank you!

It would be even better if I was generating lots of business from these fine folks, too, but I’m sure it will come…eventually.

Unless that is, the traffic has been generated by a load of robots, quietly humming away pumping out gazillions of CO2 emissions, or perhaps my website is part of some college study into how not to run a website / business. Oh, the very thought of it leaves me crestfallen.

I don’t have a large contingent of close family or friends in Virginia, and I’ve only visited Richmond twice, so I’m at a total loss to describe it.

The USA as a whole accounts for 54% of my website traffic, so again, thank you. And just to remind you, I do some fantastic VILT – Virtual Instructor-led training, so please get in touch!

 The best days lie ahead.
