How “The Godfather Of Influence” Can Help You

I have been fortunate to become one of the founding Cialdini Institute Certified Influence Professionals, and not only does this give me a wonderful opportunity to teach Cialdini’s official program to others, but I’m also licenced to sell his online program.

You may have heard of Dr Robert Cialdini perhaps from reading his book called “Influence”. It’s in the top 10 best-selling business books of all-time, or in the founder of Shopify’s words, Tobias Lutke “one of the 2 books that made me a billionaire”. It’s sold more than 7 million copies.

Cialdini is sometimes referred to as “the godfather of influence” such is the impact that he’s had on the world of behavioural science.

The book outlines 7 principles of ethical influence, all backed by rigorous scientific research (which naturally provides huge credibility) that can be used by anyone in any setting, to influence people in your direction.

Some of the examples in the book are extraordinary, highlighting the human tendency towards instinctive decision-making (known as “system 1” decision-making). It turns out that humans take lots of short cuts, with up to 95% of our decisions being made instinctively.

One example, using the principle of social proof saw sales of a McDonald’s dessert increase by 55%, while Bose enjoyed increased ad campaign effectiveness of 45% through using the principle of scarcity.

Dr Cialdini wants more people to benefit from his work (he can only reach so many) so he created The Cialdini Institute.

The institute offers the opportunity for anyone to study his on-line Accredited Ethical Influence Practitioner course, with over 6 hours of content delivered by the man himself as well as 6x live sessions with him.

Becoming more influential can be game-changing, both at work and in your personal life.
